As dementia progresses, your loved one’s appetite may decrease. This can be a significant challenge for the resident and their family. This is why Autumn Leaves has carefully designed our culinary program to provide your loved one their preferred choices as well as ensuring nutritional needs are met. Secondly, we know an intimate and calm dining experience will encourage socialization and will nurture friendships. We accomplish this by creating smaller dining rooms to feel more like home. Our entire program is based on what is best for our residents. We recognize the importance of the culinary experience for both our residents and their families so we have designed our program to accomplish these goals.
For those loved ones who will need to move from one city to another, the Autumn Leaves nurse will travel to do the assessment in the city in which they currently reside. The RN meets with the family and potential resident to determine if your loved one would benefit from one of our communities. Once the decision has been made that your loved one will be joining an Autumn Leaves community, the RN will escort your loved one to our community at no added charge. Whether by plane, train or automobile, our nursing staff will go the extra mile to help ensure the safety of your loved one.
